We are delighted to inform you that we are going to organise an international conference titled What Works in Countering Violent Extremism (CVE): Toward Human-Centric and Evidence-Based Policies to be held on 08 September at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka from 09:00 am- 5:40 pm.
Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh will be present as the Chief Guest of the Conference. Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam, Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, will be present as the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony. Dr. Gordon Clubb of the University of Leeds, UK and Prof. Dr. Shahab Enam Khan of Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh will deliver keynote speeches. Academics, policymakers, journalists, officials from the UNDP and NGOs are expected to participate in this conference. This conference is being jointly organized by the HEAT Sub-Project (PIN: 13032); the International Security Policy Lab; and the Department of World Religions and Culture, University of Dhaka.
